Q: Exactly what cable configuration do I need to plug my mid 2010 13" Macbook pro into my 24" 1080p high-def Insignia television? I have already purchased and tried without sucess the Rocketfish Mini display port to HDMI adaptor.

I have a Mid 2010 13" Macbook pro. I am trying to watch Netflix on my 24" HDMI Insignia TV. Apparently the Rocketfish mini-display port to HDMI adaptor was not the proper cable to allow me to view my computer screen on my TV. What can I do or What cable do I need to buy to watch Netflix through my Macbook on my HDMI TV? Truly frustrated!

You need a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter in order to connect your MacBook Pro to your TV.

It looks like the adapter you bought does not work properly. Simply return it and get another one. Apple lists some of them > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4241?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
