How to download things in Safari?

iOS doesn't allow you to download things from Safari in order to prevent piracy and malware. It's a good thing, although other users don't think so.

If you want to download music, movies from outside the iTunes Store, download them on a PC or Mac, transfer them to iTunes, and then sync your iPad with your Mac or PC, so you will get the content you wanted in the iPad. Always get downloads from legal sites purchasing the content you want

it should be very simple if you go to a webpage with a download avalible it should start automatically when you click the link. first go to System Prefrences>Security and Privacy and make sure the Allow applications downloaded from: anywhere is checked.

15922, it's Safari Mobile, not the Safari version you use on a Mac. Safari Mobile doesn't allow downloads

I think it might be wise if you check first to determine whether tips will actually work before you post because what you have said is just not correct

OHH sorry.. in this case, you will be able to download images and pdfs, but nothing else since apples doesn't allow it. to downlaod pdfs you need to have ibooks installed and then click on "open in ibooks". to download images hold your finger on it until the message appears allowing you to save it.
