What Type Of Wi-Fi Chip Does MacBook Pro Come With?

Hello, I want to know which type of Wi-Fi chip does MacBook Pro come with? Does it come with the Retail Apple AirPort Chip or is it of any other brand?

I want to know this because I want to know the manufacturer of such an excellent Wi-Fi chip on my MacBook Pro Retina. Its just Awesome.

Please Tell me.

CPU- Intel Core i7 3840QM @3.80GHz

RAM- Apple 16GB DDR3 1600MHz

GPU- NVIDIA Geforce GT 650M 1GB GDDR5

Screen Resolution- 2880 x 1920

Network- AirTel 4G Pro 4.0 MBPS

The Apple branded Airport card has a Broadcom chip on it. So it is really a Broadcom card branded by Apple.


Go to the Apple Logo in the menu bar and select About this Mac then More Info then System report. Or open Applications then Utilities and then System Info (which give you the same thing as above). Then scroll down to Network and then click on WiFi.
