iPhone 5 texting/crashing issues

My phone hasn't been able to properly send or receive texts the past two days. Every time I try to make room on it (i.e deleting pics, texts, apps) they all come back for some reason, no matter how many times I go back and try again. I've turned off and restarted my phone several times, and it doesn't seem to improve. On top of it, it crashes quite a lot while on the internet & trying to delete pictures from my photo album. Anyone else having a similar problem?

Is it because I ran out of storage space, need to update the software, or something with my phone bill? None of the above?

Hello SHerron16,

I do not think it would have anything to do with your phone bill. I would recommend a few steps for this issue.

First, I would close ALL the apps that are running on the device then re start the phone again.

iOS: Force an app to close

Follow these steps to force an app to close:

  1. From the Home screen, click the Home button twice.
  2. Tap and hold on the app.
  3. When it starts to jiggle, tap the ➖ to close it.
  4. Double-click the Home button and try opening the app again.

If that does not stabilize the way it is acting, then I would recommend backing up and restoring the device with iTunes.
