i followed all the steps and my canon camera still wont come up
i updated the mac soft wear and updated the iphoto and when i conect my camera it stll doesnt come up

will image capture (in your applications folder) download the photo to disk or to iPhoto?
Do you have a card reader to use to download them?
Once you get the photos off the memory card you need to use your camera's format command to erase andreformat the memory card
