Launch Image Capture located in your Applications folder.


You can import photos using that software.

Nice camera! But it will not appear on your Desktop, if that's what you are looking for. Cameras do not appear on the Desktop.


Carolyn suggested launching Image Capture. You could also use iPhoto. Both come with every Mac. Or if you have Aperture, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc. you can use them to transfer images from your X20 to your Mac. In every one of these apps there is a Preference setting you can set to have the app open automatically when you connect your camera to your Mac.


One note - if you shoot RAW, there have been reports that the X20 RAW format is not supported on Aperture 3 (but is supported on Aperture 4). Uncertain about iPhoto however. Adobe Camera RAW was updated earlier this year to support the X20, so if you have that you should be good to go.
