Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I appreciate that one can only message/text on an iPad 2 is to another iOS device. The are apps available that appear to allow this but are only for use in the USA.
Is texting possible on a IPad via wi-Fi with such an app and are such apps available in UK?

Thanks. I did try several apps including text+ but the App Store said in other words I could not use it as it was on the US store and not available to me. Also I suffered from an iOS glitch relating to not recognising which store my account was registered to. In resolving that issue I found I could download text plus but when I tried to verify the app an get the access code none of the methods ie text to my mobile number or email worked. I assume this might be because it expects a us based individual?
