How do I remove firefox from Macbook air? Can not drag icon to trash. When I drag get message "remove from dock" but it goes right back.

You drag the application from the applications folder of your MacIntosh HD to the trash.
Removing from the dock doesn't remove it from anywhere but the dock.
Firefox does not show up in my applications file so I can't find it.

That will delete the browser as well all associated files.
If you can't locate the browser, try a Spotlight search.
BTW, you must "quit" Firefox before trying to delete it.

1. Open Firefox, then from Firefox drop down menu left corner scroll down and click on Quit Firefox
2. Then click on Finder, then scroll down to Apps
3. Scroll down and click on Firefox and drag Firefox to Trash
