Can I use 2 wireless routers and extend my range?

I have a 2Wire wireless router that came with my DSL subscription, and a D-Link DI-524 that came with the iBook. Can I piggyback the D-Link to extend the range of the wireless signal? The modem is downstairs, and I'm getting awful reception on the G3 (airport card added on) and mediocre reception in the iBook (built in). I also have AE upstairs plugged into the stereo. Any thoughts as to combinations I can use to get a good signal? Thanks!

No

You could if you connect a cable between the 2wire and the D-Link device, but you can't do this wirelessly.

You can only use the AE as a client (not extend the network wirelessly) with the two routers you have.

Best option, extend the network via cable, or purchase a second AE and use this with the other to create an extended wireless network (the other two wireless routers would then be redundant).
