How do I eliminating iWork copies?

Everytime I make corrections to chart I make up in iWorks (a lot) I 'save' it, which ends up making copies in the 'Template Chooser' - which I don't need or want but can't find any way to dump them. In the drop-down under 'edit' most of the options are greyed out, including 'cut' & 'delete'. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Commands in the "Edit" menu are used to edit parts of the document.

Deleting the file is done in the Finder.

Why are you saving files in your My Templates folder? That folder should contain only your custom templates. Documents are usually saved in your Documents folder, or in a named folder in your Documents folder.

To delete files in youe My Templates folder:

Start in the Finder.

Press and hold the option key as you go to the Go menu and choose Library.

This opens a Finder window and shows the contents of your (user) Library folder.

Continue down this path:

Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates.

Select the file(s) you wish to delete, then drag them to the Trash (or press command-delete to move them to the Trash.

Barry
