How can I get Live9 working in sync ( Slave ) with Mainstage 3 ( Master ) ? I tried it over the IAC Bus, but it doesn´t work! ( mainstage crashes ) In Logic ProX it works perfectly with the same Setup !
With Mainstage 2.2 ,Live 8 worked perfectly in "rewire" mode !

Crashlog?
Didn´t see the crashlog, because Mainstage freezed ( endless spinning ball ) >>> I stopped it with "alt/Cmd/esc " !
some interesting appeared in Live9 >> the processor load display went up to 300% and more!
Then Mainstage slowed down and ended up with the spinning ball!
suppose that there is somewhere a "Midi Loop" , but in the same setup with Logic ProX everything is OK!

I tried to get the system work with mainstage 2 ( 32bit mode ) and Live 9 in 64bit Mode ! Everything worked ok!
I exported the working patch and imported it into my Mainstage 3 setup, and it didn´t work!
Live9 gets an midi overload over the IAC bus !
Think this could be a heavy bug in Mainstage 3 !
Would be very thankful for tips, solving this problem!

Why are you not using Rewire?

Rewire is working well in Mainstage 2 !
Here Live9 is switched automatically to Rewire and everything works excellent!
In Mainstage 3 > Live9 doesn´t switch to rewire !

First, in MS3 you have to enable Rewire Host Support in Preferences;Audio, then start Live 9 (64bit version)
Note also that there is a "CPU slider" under MS Preferences:Audio:Advanced Settings where you can adjust the number of CPU cores that MS uses.
You may need to tweak that, and the Rewire Multi-Core/Multiprocessor button in Live:Preferences:CPU

But, anyway >>>>> Sync over the IAC bus doesn´t work in Mainstage3! ( this works fine in Mainstage 2 ) This would be easier for me, because I only need starting loops in Live in the right time, changing tempo by "patch change" in Mainstage and the loops ( select, Volume etc.) controlled over the launchpad!
