Aug 20, 2013 5:10 PM in response to Marcelino EVby diesel vdub,As long as the device is properly unlocked there is no risk.
The only way to officially unlock an iPhone is via the carrier that it is locked to.
Contact AT&T and see if you meet their requirements for unlocking.

Aug 20, 2013 5:18 PM in response to Marcelino EVby KiltedTim,★HelpfulONLY the carrier it's locked to, AT&T in this case, can unlock the phone. Anything else is hacking. An unauthorized modification that will void any warranty, forfeit all rights to support, and could very well permanently brick your phone.
