iphone 5 charges only when its turned off

hey guys i got and iphone 5 64gb and this morning i plugged it in to charge and noting happen my battry died after a while and then i plugged it in to a wall charger and it charged until the iphone got to 5% and then stopped i tried multiplay chargeres and usb cables and nothing happen it will charge only when its completly off do you now what to do ? i really need your help
