Q: What to do after one of my purchased songs is missing?

Do you have more than one Apple ID? Maybe you need to switch Apple IDs before looking through the purchased content.

I looked at the link on how to find the song at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 but that hasn't worked for me.

Are you able to find the song in the iTunes Media folder?
If that doesn't help, try Contacting Apple Support and clicking iTunes > iTunes Store > Connecting & Downloading > The topic is not listed, and let them know about the problem.
