how can I harmonize sound across different clips?

Hi guys,

first time I am using iMovie, doing pretty well so far, but I m stumbling on the following...

I am putting a video highlights of a speech from different files and the volume is not even. Is there a way to even the volume out across the role range of clips in one go? Or do I have to go into each one of them and do it manually (which would be a pain as I have 50+ clips...)

Thanks!

iMovie '11, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Unfortunately, no there isn't.

You could try using Normalize Audio on a clip…

That may get you somewhere. I think, though you're going to have to do some tweaking on a clip by clip basis.

One other thought. Could you put in some musical underscoring? Having continuous music of some kind will make audio shifts between clips less obvious.
