I too had this same issue each time trying to open the iTunes Store. I spent hours on this and finally was able to narrow it down to the new driver for my onboard Intel HD graphic card.

I'm running a nvidia card and the intel onboard graphic on my z77 board. Out of pure luck, I tried disabling the onboard graphic and wholla .. I can access iTunes store again. I had to roll a few versions back for iTunes store to work with the intel onboard graphic card.

Hope this helps.... cheers!

You can go to your display option/screen resolution to see if the laptop screen is connected to the 770M or Intel onboard. Normally the LCD is connected to the better adapter which in this case is the 770M.

For my case, I tried the following intel hd 4000 driver:

2696 - Itunes store work

2857 - Itunes store work

3071 - Itunes store crashed

3165/latest - Itunes store crashed

Hi, I got same problem, itunes crashed when accessing the store. I'm using notebook with windows 8 pro 64 & intel hd 4400 graphic adapter (3165). Then I tried to disable the display driver from device manager, and switched to Microsoft Basic display driver, suddenly there is no more problem when going to the store through itunes.

Thus, may I know this is kind of bug by itunes or intel hd driver? Secondly, could you kindly give me the url to download previous intel hd driver? (not sure whether they are suitable for notebook installation.)

Many thanks.

Exception code ' c06d007e' means 'Module not found'. After using 'procmon.exe' downloaded from sysinternals to capture events generated by iTunes, it showed that it is unable to load 'QTMovieWin.dll'. For my case, I added 'c:\program files (x86)\common files\apple\apple application support\' to the system path variable, finally it works without downgrading the Intel HD display driver (3165).

I had the same issue as described above... iTunes would crash everytime I tried to open the iTunes Store. My brother, a computer geek, had me do the following and it fixed the problem for me:

1. From your desktop, right-click "My Computer" and click "Properties" (If you don't have the "My Computer" icon on your desktop, use the following steps, 0.1 - 0.5)

0.1 - Click the Start Menu button (Or use the Windows button on your keyboard)

0.2 - Locate "Computer" (should be in the right panel near the middle)

0.3 - Right-click on "Computer"

0.4 - Click "Properties" from the option pane

0.5 - This should have opened the "System" window (in the control panel also), continue to step 2

2. In the "System" window, click on "Advanced system settings", this brings up the "System Properties" window

3. In the "System Properties" window, click on the "Advanced" tab

4. In the "Advanced tab", click the "Environment Variables" button

5. In the "Environment Variables window", find and highlight the "Path" variable in the "Systems Variables" section

6. Click the "Edit" button to bring up the "Edit System Variable" window.

7. Finally, place your mouse cursor at the very end of the "Variable Value", and modify the variable value by adding the following (EXACTLY) to the end:

;C:\program files (x86)\common files\apple\apple application support\
