Straight Talk help?

Has anybody taken an AT&T iPhone 4 and switched it to Straight Talk? In recently did this and am now trying to work. I can't follow the steps given online to change the APN cause my phone doesn't have the buttons needed. Any suggestions?

iPhone 4, iOS 6.1.3

Hello

As far as I can tell, you will not be able to ever get MMS access on your non-jailbroken iPhone under a ST plan. This is because Straight Talk locks/removes this configuration menu from your iPhone. I, too, am on their system (3GS and 4S) and find this frustrating, and the "why" is found here (with a petition to fix this!).

However, you can still receive mobile data on the phone, through one of two methods.

  1. Install a custom APN profile manually. Input the values given for "AT&T Compatible" on the Straight Talk Phone Programming page.
  2. Head to http://www.unlockit.co.nz on your iPhone, select "Create APN," select "United States" as your country and "Straight Talk" as your carrier, then click the "Create APN" button. This will install an APN profile on your phone, and this should permit you to use cellular data.

Let us know how this turns out!

Okay, so I too had the problem with using unlock.co... blah blah, didn't work. Tried the sim-swap trick, but used older youtube vids for references, didn't work due to the the most current apn settings not being used. My unlocked iphone 4 is running on 6.1.3. and was originally at&t. Basically I used http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeHISkishTs as a guide, but used the newest apn settings on straight talk. I also did as he demonstrated in the video, using the port number at the end of the proxy (:80) and entering the url, which wasn't something I noticed in other vids. Hopefully, this helps.

Ccorndog - Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Used the download you recommended, http://iapnupdatetfdata.net10.com/, and my iphone 4 is now working again with IOS7. I can get online.

Also, I am now able to send MMS, which I was not able to do using the old unlock.co settings.

This is so great. I've been trying different methods for over an hour now, and was about to give up when I found your comment. Thanks again.
