Q: Problems with Pan or volume controls

For some reason the pan control will move to a particular point on its own whether the track is in play or stationary.This happens both on a blank arrange page or an already recorded project. It stops only when I disconnect the USB piano. Can anyone help resolve this ? I have been trying for months with no joy

    First of all, are we talking Mainstage, or Logic?

     

    BIG difference on how to fix this problem, between the two.

     

    A shot in the dark guess, is that the "USB piano" is sending MIDI Clock, and the clock is being misinterpretted by whatever software you are using.

     

    Other thing to check, is make sure you don't have automation enabled, while you are problem solving.
