Aug 21, 2013 7:04 AM in response to Redantby King_Penguin,I assume that you logged into your account on their iPad to gift the film (gifting content). If your account is therefore logged in on their iPad then you or they can log you out of it by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores (Settings > Stores if it's not iOS 6) on signing out, and he/she can then log in with their own account.

Aug 21, 2013 8:04 AM in response to King_Penguinby Redant,Part two of my question is this...the other person just recently purchased an App and received this email. For the sake of security, I changed the information. Assume, for now, that I am Fred Smith and the other person is John Doe. John Doe has expressed to me that this is annoying that we both would like to reassociate his name with his Apple ID, instead of mine. How do we do this?

Aug 21, 2013 8:30 AM in response to Redantby King_Penguin,Most of us on here are fellow users, and it looks like somebody reported your post to the hosts to remove some personal info from it (I've only just seen your reply so I've only seen the edited version).
They should be able to log into the account on their computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and update the info on it - depending on what needs changing, some of it (not payment info) may also be changed via http://appleid.apple.com
Changing account info : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1918
Is that what you want to do ?

Aug 21, 2013 8:44 AM in response to King_Penguinby Redant,Huh...looks like I haven't changed enough. Okay, take two:
Part two of my question is this...the other person just recently purchased an App and received this email. For the sake of security, I changed the information. Assume, for now, that I am XX and the other person is YY. YY has expressed to me that this is annoying that we both would like to reassociate his name with his Apple ID, instead of mine. How do we do this?

Subject: Your recent download with your Apple IDDear XX,
Your Apple ID, YY@blahblahblah, was just used to download [some Apple app] from the App Store on a computer or device that had not previously been associated with that Apple ID. You may also be receiving this email if you reset your password since your last purchase.
If you initiated this download, you can disregard this email. It was only sent to alert you in case you did not initiate the download yourself.
If you did not initiate this download, we recommend that you go to blahblahblah to change your password, then see Apple ID Tips blahblahblah for further assistance.
Regards,

Aug 21, 2013 8:54 AM in response to Redantby King_Penguin,If the email was sent to the other person then that implies that his email address is on the account. To change the name, he can log into the account via the Store > View Account menu option on his computer's iTunes (if he is on a PC with iTunes 11 on it then Alt-S should get the Store menu to appear) :
And on the account's page there should be an Edit button next the billing address.
Or he can change it by going to http://appleid.apple.com , clicking on 'Manage Your Apple ID' and logging in - that should let him edit the name
