itunes not syncing all my photos to ipad

Hi

for quite a while now itunes has stopped syncing new photos to my ipad. I have around 7,000 photos and videos within iTunes on my mac, and only around 5,000 get synced. After syncing I get an alert saying 2,000 couldnt be synced (all numbers are approximate).

It seems as though its not syncing the most recent photos from the last year or so. Itunes is telling me I have enough room on the ipad so that shouldnt be the problem

Things Ive tried to rectify (to no avail)...

Reinstalled my ipad

Removed all photos from ipad and then tried resyncing

Rebuilding my itunes database

Deleting the ipod cache in my macs library

Any help would be much appreciaed on this matter

1. Click on your Device in the top right hand corner, next to where it says: iTunes Store

2. Make sure All Folders are selected to Sync:

Ill give it a try

Ive got a feeling that i wont have neough space on my ipad to sync eveything though

ill try tonight and report back 🙂

that didnt work unfortunately.

I have a new hunch however - I think it may be photos from my new camera that its not syncing. Im not sure why this may be though?!

My new one is a Nikon D5100 and the old one was a Nikon D50. I havent a clue why this may be. ( a few photos taken with the new camera ARE syncing accross though)

would anybody have any ideas why this may be?

new photos seem to start with _DSC... where old ones didnt have the underscore. Could this be a problem?

this is strange. The photos that its not syncing are consistant, but it IS syncing some photos from the new camera - the photos its not syncing are all reletively recently shot though (and using the new camera)

Ive even tried only sncing photos from the last year and it still refuses to sync the same photos - so it cant be a space issue 😟

Just for the record, I figured out what the problem is. iPad doesn't like the Nikon d5100 videos that I was always trying to sync. For some reason it chose not to sync all resulting photos as soon as it came across one of these videos.

Thanks Nickholl! That's exactly what my problem was. My pics folder had a couple videos mixed in. As soon as I moved them to a seperate folder, all the pics synced.
