How do I import my contacts from Outlook? (I've just changed mobile from an HTC to iphone 5)

I've just changed mobile from an HTC to an iphone 5. I saved all my numbers, email addresses etc on Outlook but now I don't know how to upload these onto the new phone! Can anyone please help on what to do?

Thank you. With the knowledge I realised that I was sync'd with iCloud for Contacts but had no contacts therein! Changed to sync with Outlook and all fine.
