using apple id and a gift card in itunes store

I cannot make a purchase without CC info.

I have multiple accounts and do not want this one to have access to my credit card.

I have SUCCESSFULLY added a $10 Gift Card.

Mac mini, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)
