ive had my iphone 4 for 9 months now and the battery life is getting bad. its dropping below 20% every day now and i rarely use it and charge it every night now. is this normal for iphones o is something wrong?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
