Common space for student App downloads?

I am a teacher using iTunes U, as well as iPads in instruction. As I am requiring certain Apps be downloaded, is there a way I can do this to iTunes U so that they are in a common space and students can download? It is both a parent and student request, especially if there is a fee for an App. Thanks!
