Aug 21, 2013 10:17 PM in response to thegasparby Drummerx04,At first glance, it does not appear to be doable. One thing that may be nice is to set notifications to appear on your screen. System Preferences > Notifications > Calendar alert style:
It will not display everything, but it will display the most recent items that are moved to the Notification center.
If you have a trackpad you can also reveal the center by dragging two fingers onto the trackpad from the right.

Oct 18, 2014 5:56 PM in response to thegasparby danerik,I wish I could do it too. I prefer the calculator in the notification center , but using it while having a document open is a challenge. If I want to write something in my document, the calculator and its result disappear..
