My Time Machine says it can't complete a backup...
because "the backup disk image "/Volumes/Data/cavanaughmike's iMac.sparsebundle" is already in use. Does anyone know what that means?

Standard issues since Lion,, exacerbated on Mountain Lion.. it has some disk error between the TC and the computer. solution is the simple one.
Pull the plug on the TC.. count to 10.. push the power plug back into the TC.
If you don't get all good outcome .. post again.. for 98% (according to Bob Timmons at least) it fixes it.
