ITunes gift

Recently I made the elementary "newbie" mistake of gifting a digital $10 music CD online from my iTunes account here in Canada to someone in the UK....of course he couldn't access the gifted CD from his UK account. Question - does anyone out there know a way of "retrieving" from iTunes the paid-for but uncollectable CD so that I can either download it for myself, or even re-gift it to someone else but in Canada this time?

You can try resending it (you might be able to send it to yourself, I haven't tried it) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1541

Or you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
