W7install, blk screen

I have installed W 7 on 6 computers but all were SN OS. I have been trying to install W7 on my iMac (MtL)but cannot get passed the blk screen. DU says my HD is ok with the windows partition ok with ntsf and the usb drive in fat32 with the latest drivers (v4.0). Is there something new there I am not familiar with?

Hello calbob84,

I found an article with steps you can take when you are getting a black screen when trying to install Windows 7 on the Boot Camp partition.

I recommend following the steps in this article (the article title refers to a MacBook Air, but the steps still apply to an iMac):

MacBook Air (Mid 2013): Keyboard/trackpad inoperative, black screen, or alert messages when installing Windows 7
