I was unable to add songs to my iPod Shuffle 2 so I reset it.
After reset, I went through the welcome to iPod and got the massage, "The Setting were not saved for the iPod "my Name" iPod because it could not be found.
How can I correct this?
I am on a MacBook Pro 2.2GHz with 4 GB SDRAM. Mountain Lion 10.8.4
I have restarted my MacBook Pro with the same results.

That didn't do it. iTunes sees the iPod and I can restiore it, but adding songs, I get the message "iPod Sync failed. Disconnect then try again."
I did that several times and get the same message.
Are the iPod Shuffles no longer able to work with Mountain Lion?
