Don't buy another 6th generation ipod nano or send it in to be refurbished because the buttons will break in about 6 months anyway. the buttons are basically stuck down because some genius thought it would be a good idea to put a pad over the clicky part of the button on the inside that can come off rendering the button useless. Once the pad is gone, the button no longer works because there is now empty space between the button on the outside and the connection on the inside. Opening the ipod to fix it yourself will void any warranty and you will risk breaking the ipod completely. I have gone through my fourht and final 6th gen ipod nano. Take it from me. Dont buy this generation again, buy older ipods or buy a different brand.
