Group Messaging

I love group messaging. Recently, I was into a group message and realized a friend was not included.

Can I "edit" the group in order to add my friend and then she can be part of the conversation?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4

No the group is set by the person who initiates the message and cannot be changed, a new group message including the person needs to be started

You should be able to in "details," but only if it is an iMessage. If it is a group SMS you can't.
