Simulating Hammer Ons, Pull Offs and Slides?!

How can you simulate the sound of Hammer Ons, Pull Offs and Slides in Garageband's virtual guitars and basses?! Like in an imported MIDI file?

[I'm specifically asking for the bass]

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
