Hide text columns between landscape and portrait orientation

Hi Guys!


I'm working on an iBook v2 (on a Mac) with both orientations.


One of the chapters is an "Awards Timeline" and I used bookmark links to navigate said timeline. Below is a screenshot of the iBook program, landscape orientation, in which I used the template columns to place my bookmark words "1999-2004"

The Problem is, though the bookmark links are brilliant, I don't want to see them in the Portrait orientation (see hightligh lime in image below):

Anyway I can hide the text column from portrait rientation just like the thumbnail track?
