ical won't open

When I click on my iCal icon in the doc, it doesn't bounce and open. I tried opening it directly from the applications folder, and again, nothing. I found an older solution (find the calendar cache), but that was from 2008, and I can't seem to find a "calendar cache" now.

Any help? I use my calendar daily if not more often!!
