I've just applied for apple finance. Filled in details on the Barclays application. It then said I have to wait for 2 emails (username and password) to confirm my identity. How long do these take to come through? I'm buying a MacBook Pro. How strict is apple with finance?
I was told that the Finance starts as soon as you have signed for the receipt of the Apple product, not beforehand. Because of this, Barclays doesn't send out any money before you have received your item. So your item might have been sent already but because Apple hasn't received any money yet the status won't update. It might take a few days 🙂
Sorry for picking this topic up again but I have ordered yesterday and it still says Awaiting Payment. How long does it take until Barclays sends the money? Any experience? I tried to get in touch with Barclays but no luck so far.
I'm also applying through benefits not employment. Will this take longer? Anybody know roughly how long this will take?
I called Barclays about the delay in my order and they cancelled the loan application (despite approving it) after they discovered my billing and shipping address were different. They never called to advise. Now left on the lead up to Christmas without a present for my girlfriend. Arrrgh!
They should have given you the brochure on the financing with all the terms and conditions when you applied. If not, call them back and ask for a link.

I just called Barclays myself and Apple too. Appears there is just a 1-3 working day delay for the systems to update. Makes sense, just being impatient! 😉
If it takes 1-3 days to update their systems, how come using the system in store is immediate?
