Apps crash constantly after update

I have an iPhone 4 and have a problem with a few apps which run fine until the app is updated then they constantly crash on startup. I have looked through the crash logs and the constant theme is exc_bad_access. This is very frustrating!!!

Why does it happen after an update and with apps that I use a lot??

Any advice will be appreciated!

I also have an iPod touch 3 and iPad 3 both running the latest iOS and do not have this problem so it is obviously the phone.

Candy crush!! So it's been through numerous updates and is popular. Also the Simpsons tapped out and ituner. All the same. Worked fine until an update then stopped.

Neither had problems on my other devices so its obviously my phone

Not sure if this will help but try a reset, no data loss. Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for your phone to boot back up. Think of it as restarting your computer.

I've tried that many times. Have also removed the offending apps, 'killed' all apps that are running, 'restarted' reinstalled ...and no.

Oh and FYI after further updates (this is with the Simpsons and ituner) I have tried reinstalling and still no joy.

I guess it is obviously an annoying glitch with my phone.

I have the exact same problem, and with the same 2 apps Simpsons Tapped Out and Candy Crush. Both happeded after updates to the apps. I tried everything to fix it, reinstall app, hard resets, etc. and nothing worked. I even contacted Simpson's App suport and they said to contact Apple support about it that they did not see a problem on their end. Very annoying since it seem to happen only on the apps I used the most. Hasn't happened to any apps that are rarely used.

So the issue would be with the apps... I suggest you write a review for each app stating it doesn't work with the new update.
