random page generator widget for a chapter within iBook Author

I am creating an iBook in which students have to make decisions for a character in a historical setting. In character they work through historical informationa and make a decision for their chacter based on the historical data. To prevent students saying I will only do that character I would like the iBook to randomly generate a chactater for the student on a click of a button/widget (I have done this on a web page without a problem) but can it be done in iBA? If so how? Any help would be appreciated.
