Aug 29, 2013 3:04 PM in response to ExcaliburZby thedukeinpa,Keynote actually has two file types, one is a flat file the other is a package. Course Manager only appears to support the flat, non package file type. I don't htink there is a way to convert a package to a flat file, but check your keynote preferences and makes sure you set the preferance to NOT "save new documents as packages". You will then need to create a new presentation and then copy in your old slides. This worked perfectly for me.

Jan 6, 2014 12:21 AM in response to thedukeinpaby BGY SamKong,I'm using the latest version of keynote. I can't find the "save new documents as packages". I can't upload the latest version of keynote to the itunes u course manager. But the old version is still fine.

Jan 6, 2014 10:30 AM in response to BGY SamKongby thedukeinpa,Yea annoyingly the new vesion of keynote lost the option. The only workaround I've found is to use the Export to Keynote '09 option under the File menu. That seems to create a non Package file that uploads. My guess is you might lose some functionality if the file uses any new features.

Jan 20, 2014 11:19 AM in response to Shelleys01by Frank Lowney,The latest version of Keynote (6.x) is apparently unsupported as of this time. I tried and failed as well. You could export to Keynote '09. The old version of Keynote was not deleted in the upgrade so should still be available to you. Another option that you have is to use the free iBooks Author to create an *.ibooks file that makes use of the Keynote widget. This is a simple drag & drop operation.
