Upgraded to new iMac with Mountain Lion and Aperature will not run

Upgraded to a new iMac with Mountain Lion - Aperature version 3.4.5 will not run and is asking for a serial number. Where can I retrieve this number?

If you bought Aperture on DVD or from the Apple Site then it is asking for the serial number you recieved when you bought the application.

If you bought Aperture from the Mac App Store then there is no serial number. In this case delete Aperture from the Applications folder, log into the Mac App Store using the same Apple Id you used to purchase it and download it again.

Was this an upgrade from an earlier version of Aperture (either 1 or 2)? If so you need the original serial number(s) in addition to the serial number for 3.

If this wasn't an upgrade, you bought Aperture version 3 only, then have a look at Troubleshooting Professional Application Serial Numbers .

If this was an upgrade and you can;t find the original serial number(s) look atPro Application Replacement Serial Numbers
