Limited distribution option - special codes

Hi there -

I was wondering if there is or if there are any plans to allow sellers to "hide" their eBooks and sell or give away to a select audience. I realize the sheer size of the iBookstore helps in this regard, but I'm curious if this functionality is available now or will be.

I'd be interested in a Public or Private option when publishing with Private meaning that you must have the URL or a special code to access the eBook.

Nobody in these forums can tell you anything about Apple's plans for new features, but you can ask for them via

Currently there is only provision for giving free copies to some readers via "promo codes". There is no provision for private distribution via the store, you have to organize that yourself via email or download from a server.
