What Can I Do with my Bluetooth Phone? LG VX8300?

I'm getting a LG 8300 also, and would like to learn more about using it with my Mac. You say we can't transfer music and photos to our computers?

I have the LG VX8300 and i would like to know more on how to get it to read the names of who is calling and stuff like that please help us!

You can transfer name cards though phone and Mac by using the Send file though with the bluetooth helper.

Be sure when configuring settings in Bitpim that you use BT-DIAG as the port for communicating with the phone.

I'm still searching for Mac OS X specifics we can do with the 8300 - just started my search though.

Allow me to suggest that you do NOT get an LG phone, especially if you’re on the Verizon network. These characters have disabled many features in order to force you to purchase their crappy tunes as well as Verizon’s access.
To me it’s a big scam forcing the purchaser to continue spending ever more $$$$ on his cell.

I see on the forum that you are able to synch your LG VX8300 with your Mac. I have tried using iSynch and get a response that iSynch does not support LG VX 8300 phones. How did you get your phone to synch with your mac?

I have the VX8300 on Verizon and I have uploaded ringtones, photo's and I have heard you can get music mp'3 to play on it. You need Three things to do any of it. One is bitpim ( which is a free download) and a microSD card. A card reader for the microSD card. Bitpim and bluetooth will let you up/download pictures, ringtones, Contacts, and Calender items. To get music you need to load them on the memory card using a reader, then putting into phone. There is alot of info on the web to help with all of this. Verizon disables these items on all of their phones.

Has anyone used the new Motorola Q with a Mac? Specifically MacBook Pro?
