When I click on "Dasboard" nothing happens.

I have never used dasboard before and just wanted to try it in order to see if it is useful to me.

When I click on it nothing seems to happen except that the screen turns to the previous screen which was in use before I clicked the Dashboard icon.

Any help appreciated.
