May or may not help.
I would reset the unit in Settings or restore it and set it up again.
If it does not, check your emails to see if purchase verification is needed for a new device.

Everything works except iTunes password verification which keeps telling me I'm entering the wrong password. this of course is not the case since I login with this password on other devices.
