Q: I"m selling my MacBook Air. How to clean out before selling?

Hi Communities,

How can I clean my MacBook Air  memory before selling it?? hard drive or whatever.

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

A:

Boot into recovery mode, select Disk Utility, erase the HD, using the zero out data security option, quit DU, and reinstall the OS. On first boot, quit the Setup Assistant, and sell it in that condition to the new owner.
