I am trying to deciding if iPad mini has the functions I require when travelling. A major requirement is to run Garmin Basecamp and at least to read from (if not write to) my GPSMAP 62stc. Does anyone know for a fact this will work and if so using what connector cable(s)?

There is no Garmin Basecamp in the App Store.
I misspelled it. It is BaseCamp.
My main objective is to back up my track logs and waypoints from time to time when travelling. I don't avctually need BaseCamp for that but I do want to be able to cable connect the GPSMAP to iPAD mini and transfer the data to the iPad.Do you know if and how I can do that? Thanks
No. You might be able to connect via Bluetooth but that would be a better question for the Garmin people.
