Apple TV Remote will not pair or unpair

HELP!

I have a 2nd generation ATV.

We've just moved and set up our new Internet provider. The remote doesn't work. No response from the ATV. No flash of the light etc.

I've tried to pair and unpair. (menu + left/right) still no response. I've also changed the battery and tried to pair/unpair.

I've also plugged the ATV into my MAC and restored it. Still not able to use the remote. My iPad and iPhone remote apps do not recognize the ATV either. I'm stuck on the set up screen now.. Can't move forward...
