It is annoying to not just ask in the same thread you had already...
Title suggestion: Windows 8 OEM System Builder
That being said, 8.1 is due in October. Not sure if system builder will allow or not, so you might want to shop Microsoft for retail or wait for "buy now and get free upgrade"
8.1 runs smoother and nicer than 7 once you turn off Metro (which 8.1 makes easy).
Links to Amazon: anything from "ref" on are just extra and not needed. Search terms, user wish list location and ID.
Windows 8.1 Preview is free download but I think you need to be running 7 or 8 already, try:
I see what your saying about waiting for the 8.1, but I want it as soon as possible. Will that one I posted above work, or should I try using Windows 7, 64 Bit like you suggested in my other post?
For Windows 7, 64 Bit, I see so many options on Amazon when I search Windows 7, 64 Bit, any idea what might be best?
you do have enough threds on same subject already.
You see what I say but you really don't
You want retail copy of Windows. Not an upgrade. A full install.
OEM can be reinstalled on the same hardware multiple times and is what I use, though I prefer retail as I have had three motherboards go and wish it was more like Mac, buy a copy and install on up to 5 computers.
I suggest you get 8,0 OEM $89, and Kappy pointed you to "Upgrades" from the Microsoft Windows Store. I don't think you wnt that.
