Why can't I remove messages from dock?
When I drag it up out the dock, wait for puff of smoke and release, nothing happens messages just drops back into the dock line.
If an application is open, it will not let you remove it from the dock. Click on the , go to Force Quit, then force quit Messages. Then it should let you remove it from the dock.
