Can't Edit Song Info in iTunes Library.

Because my laptop had been reset, I had to re-download iTunes. Afterward, as I was putting songs back into the Library, I realized that I couldn't edit ANY song info. All the info is grey and I can't change anything. I've noticed people saying to Right-Click, hit Open In Windows Explorer and uncheck Read-Only, but none of my songs have Read-Only checked. I have no idea what the problem is. Does anyone know? How do I fix this problem?

i have the same problem.. i right clicked the song(s) and click on "Create an AAC version" then iTunes will convert the songs into a new format with ".m4a" extension. I have deleted the old ones and replaced it with those with m4a. I don't know if it will work for your pc, but you don't know unless you try 😉

I would not recommend you do this.

Make sure your entire iTunes folder and all contents are set for read/write permissions.
