Q: Replacement toner cartridge for Apple LaserWriter Select 360?

I have connected my Apple LaserWriter Select 360 to my new iMac, thanks to advice I received from this forum.  Turns out all I needed was a USB to Parallel connector.  Yay!

It's working perfectly, as expected, and now I need a new supplier for toner cartridges. Can anyone recommend a trusted source?

Great news! Makes me want to get out my old LaserWriter 4/600PS and connect it to our newer Macs! I always liked that printer.

I just googled "apple laserwriter select 360 toner" and got a lot of hits for sellers, including Amazon. I think that's your best starting place.

PS: "Where can I get" questions here are more effectively answered if you give us your approximate geographic location. That way, people won't recommend vendors that can't/won't ship to you.

Because Apple didn't manufacture their own printers through the years, replacement ink jet tanks/cartridges or toner cartridges can often be found by cross-referencing their models with the equivalent models made by the actual manufacturer.  In the case of the Apple LaserWriter Select 300, 310, 360, and 610, you can use a toner cartridge designed for the Xerox 4505, 4505ps, 4510, and 4510ps models.  The Xerox toner part number is "113R5," which can be purchased new for $120, whereas refilled toner cartridges can be purchased for less.  Keep in mind that even new/sealed toner cartridges have a shelf life, so you don't want to buy one that has been sitting in inventory for a long time.  If the printer is working well mechanically, I'd be more inclined to buy a new toner cartridge from a Xerox dealer/supplier.

Thank you, Jeff.  Like a dog with a bone, I'm determined to continue using this printer.  It's better than any other printer I've used, by far.  Your advice now occupies the top spot on the list I'm keeping for future reference (and to share with my service tech). Thank you so much!!!!  Karen  (Exclusively Apple since 1987)
